Pretty straight forward here. I never had any strong opinions about my peanut butter, but none the less, I now know where my allegiance lies. And that is apparently with the product with the most sugar. With how much love peter pan gets online and among peanut butter snobs, I expected it to perform better. instead, it was the lowest scoring peanut spread I tried. It’s hard to say if this is indicative of just a difference in preference or maybe I just have poor judgment in my peanut butter. One thing to keep in mind though is different peanut butter use cases. Much like potatoes or shrimp, America’s favorite nut butter has many applications. For instance, I like to add Smucker’s Natural to vanilla ice cream. Kroger brand PB will never replace that – there’s something to the grittiness and increased saltiness. I think you might want one of the lower sugar content PB’s for peanut butter cookies since so much sugar is added anyways. Who’s to say which peanut butter is best for removing gum from hair?
